Terms and Conditions (Dog walking)

Owner is responsible and will ensure that their dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations, flea and tick treatments and de-wormer treatments.

I must be informed if your dog does or has EVER used a muzzle as I may choose not to walk the dog, depending on the circumstances.

I must be advised of any infectious condition (e.g. Kennel cough, conjunctivitis). Any dog with an infectious condition will not be walked until cleared to do so by a vet.

The client gives permission to enter their property to carry out the booked service at the arranged date and time

All dogs must wear a collar and tag with the telephone number of the owner engraved upon it.

Dog must be in a secure location prior to collection by the dog walker. Loose in a garden does not constitute this.

All dogs must be provided with a collar or harness and lead.

My vehicle is insured for the safe care and transport of your animal. Animals are fully insured to travel in any vehicle driven by me. Unless you state otherwise, these terms and conditions assume that you, the client, have given permission for this.

Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked.  The Dog Walker is not held accountable for vet fees or third party claims whilst your dog is in my care.

Owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking or traveling in my vehicle including behavioral or health problems, antisocial behavior; including aggression, incontinence and excessive loud barking. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might render owner’s dog unsuitable for walking or travelling in my vehicle, will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement.

I will contact the owner in the event of an emergency. Owners are recommend to provide a contact number of a trusted third party should I be unable to make contact. However, I reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. Owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred by the Dog Walker.
